Metro Deaf School, a free public charter school serving Preschool-12th Grade, provides a bilingual and interdisciplinary curriculum using American Sign Language (ASL) and English for students who are primarily Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard-of-Hearing.

Metro Deaf School promotes academic excellence for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students using an ASL/English bilingual approach. Our primary purpose is to empower our students to develop the skills and knowledge to succeed as global citizens.

 Metro Deaf School Celebrates 25 Years!!!!

Metro Deaf School has served Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing students in the Twin Cities Metro for 25 years! That is worth celebrating! Join us for the festivities on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1!

We are excited to announce that ASL Nook will be joining us on June 1st  as part of our celebrations! We hope you will come out and join us!

 
There will also be a Gala Saturday evening! 



The MDS School Board is looking for new members! 

The Metro Deaf School Board of Directors is currently looking for teachers, community members, alumni, and/or parents to serve on the board of directors.  Are you interested in volunteering your time and efforts to help promote the education of Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing children and help further the vision and programs at Metro Deaf School?  Fill out an application today!
