Metro Deaf School works with a number of organizations to provide activities and resources that can be beneficial to you as a parent of a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child. As we get information about these resources, we will post them here to make sure you have the information you need. If you know of an event or resource you find helpful that is not on this page, please contact us. We appreciate your help and hope you find this information helpful.

There are a number of workshops available related to Deaf and Hard of Hearing that are open to parents. Here is a calendar of these workshops throughout the year. Take advantage to as many as you would like!

Volunteers of America (VOA) is organizing a Deaf parenting skills group for Deaf parents and their children. Here is a flyer with more details.

Interested in learning more American Sign Language? There is a DVD instructional series that you can buy that will help you grow in your knowledge of ASL. For more information, check out their website at
