Metro Deaf School is Expanding!

Metro Deaf School recently held a groundbreaking ceremony at our new building (1125 Energy Park Drive in St Paul). We were featured on the 6PM news from KSTP. Here is a video of that news report.

Transcript: A school that specializes in helping Deaf and blind students has big plans for the future. The impact they're already making in the community, and how they hope to help even more people. You know the Metro Deaf School is a world leader when it comes to educating deaf and blind students. Well, now it is expanding. Today the school held a groundbreaking on a new building. It will double the size of the school. Over the years, it has gone from serving just 13 students to 100. It is on pace to have nearly a hundred thirty students in just a couple of years. Not only does the school give these students a rigorous curriculum, it also gives them a place to thrive. The kids aren't isolated. They can communicate with anybody in the building from custodial to front office to anybody they interact with, they can communicate. The extra space will also be used for things like additional education community events and sign language classes.
